After fourteen years of being a landlord, I had my first eviction. I did everything I could to work with my tenant to try and create a win-win scenario for both parties. Unfortunately, cooler heads did not prevail and in October we stood on opposite sides of the courtroom stating our cases. Fortunately, the Judge sided with RKI and instructed my tenant she has ten days to vacate the property.
On Friday, I sealed a "lease option" deal after showing the property to my contractor for a rehab quote. It has been 3 weeks since I evicted my tenant from the property. The momentum is definitely going in the right direction.
